St Albans New Museum & Gallery

Hallam Consulting’s Tom Hallam was Capital Programme Manager of the St Albans New Museum + Gallery project, a role overseeing the successful delivery of the wider scheme on behalf of St Albans City & District Council. The grade II* listed Town Hall has been returned to its place of civic significance as a publicly accessible building on the Market Place in the centre of the city. The project involved comprehensive re-forming of all spaces within the historic fabric and introduced a new conditioned basement gallery directly beneath the existing entrance and Assembly Rooms, through a carefully sequenced underpinning and excavation exercise.
